touchdown! i’m back in Kuching. what a way to start a new year. got an sms upon arrival – “i think we should break up”. yep, i guess i’m single again. sad? not really, kinda expecting it. not sure why it took so long thought. read my horoscope yesterday about me not having a good year for relationship but should expect a good income boost this year. woohoo! horoscope warns that i should watch my spending thought. nice to keep in mind.

everything is familiar. Kuching is same same. my room is the same, my bed is the same (except my blankets which smells kinda different) and my pc is the same (ah, the familiar purring noises it greets me when i boot it up).

coming back should be a time for relaxation but not for mua, as i have tons of things to get done in preparation for the chinese new year, not to mention some stuff from work i need to get out of the way. buzy buzy.

anyway my dad, an ex-dentition, is asking me to help him sell his dental equipments online. saying their worth perhaps around rm10K, i’m wondering to myself where should i get started. not everyday people would buy dental stuff from ebay or lelong.com. then there’s the whole hassle of setting up a paypal account, taking elegant presentation pictures and putting elaborately enticing words to go with the items. hassle! advice is always welcome.

mom wants to go bangkok on holiday in march. asks me to help check for tours and such. doubt i’ll be able to be a great tour guide if i should join them. i speak a little thai – nit noy, not enough to price haggle if you know what i mean.

anyway, it’s great being back. just wait a few days for Kuching life to sink in. till then, i’m gonna go around to get reacquainted with my hometown.

with only an hour away till the new year, i find myself isolated in my little Bangkok apartment. yes that’s right, this coming new year i’ll not be celebrating it in Malaysia. sitting in my comfy bed and watching the television blaring loud thai music, it can only be a live concert happening at Central World, a few skytrain stops from where i’m staying.

curiously i remembered that last year i was entertained with the happenings in Kuala Lumpur through the television as well when us Malaysian’s was counting down to 2008.

well when it comes down to it, i guess ringing in the new year is not much of a big deal for me. my idea of a fun time is good food, great conversation and a reliable online connection. don’t get me wrong though, i do enjoy a party once in a while.

now there should be a time difference between Malaysia and Thailand. i think Bangkok will probably be 2009 after Malaysia. so technically being Malaysian, i get to celebrate the countdown twice, no? hehe…

i’m torn in watching the countdown happening on television or start up my playstation 2 for some rpg fun. decisions decisions…

anyways, here’s wishing you a happy new year and all the best in your future undertakings. i know some friends of mine are probably hanging out at Soho and Mojo right now, to them – have fun, play safe and drive safe.

i’m gonna go back to watching some television and enjoying my lime flavoured sherbet. cheers!

u can regard everything here as fiction, or fanfiction (me being my own fan haha), or messed up ramblings from the deranged mind of a guy in his midlife crisis. whatever. comment as u see fit. the brainless ones go to /purgatory, not that i'm saying ur a zombie. then again seeing as i'm not getting much sleep lately, i probably am one. that said, u'll realise that u can't take legal action against a zombie. cause we've gots diplomatic immuniteh. rawr.
