the most anticipated book ever

Posted on: July 21, 2007

the reception at Belle’s was pretty lukewarm with hardly anyone at all. most of the kuchingnites flocked over to Popular bookstore at Tun Jugah instead (as they opened up first). but you know why Popular sucks? this is perhaps the most anticipated book ever to come in a long long time and they have the audacity to not STOCK any for sale.

imagine that. if you were one of those sorry guys (including me) that went there early to line up hoping to scope out one copy of the book without pre-ordering…then your out of luck.

i wasted close to 30 minutes before i realized and asked one of the sales people about it. so i packed my butt out of Popular and ran straight to Belle’s hoping a long line has not formed there as well. fortunately, there were only 2-3 people at Belle’s and the wait was hardly anything at all. granted that you get a nifty orange paper bag and shirt (for the first 100 people) at Popular and absolutely zip gifts at Belle’s, but the important thing is the book right?

i got the adult edition – same story different cover. there goes my weekend! ooooohhh i’m so tempted to check out the last page to see if the last word is “scar”.

hey i was at popular!!

yeah, they even had the stage set up for some sorta presentation but eventually got cancelled. However the list of pre-orders were damn long :P

this is one of those instances where it doesn’t pay to pre-order when you can walk in another shop (like Belle’s) and pick it up without going through a heavy queue.

u can regard everything here as fiction, or fanfiction (me being my own fan haha), or messed up ramblings from the deranged mind of a guy in his midlife crisis. whatever. comment as u see fit. the brainless ones go to /purgatory, not that i'm saying ur a zombie. then again seeing as i'm not getting much sleep lately, i probably am one. that said, u'll realise that u can't take legal action against a zombie. cause we've gots diplomatic immuniteh. rawr.
