nostalgic

i remember when i was way young, i would tune in to this program on television called “Telestar” with my brother. it’s a music chart show program reminiscence of the MTV we have now. songs such as “Love in the first degree“, “Eternal Flame” and “Heaven is a place on Earth” are but a few classic songs that i grew up with.

so anyway, i was surfing around and came across a Harry Potter spoiler site which had a link to a video clip of a certain leroy jenkins (famous for his antics on World of Warcraft) who did a spoilerish remix video for HP7. what really got me was the Rick Astley song “Never Gonna Give You Up” that was used in the video.

nostalgic.

i spent the next 30 minutes looking for the song in mp3 format…and couldn’t get it. heavens to betsy, at least the video’s available on youtube.

safest place in a plane

check this out. apparently the back seats is statistically proven to be the safest place to be at in a plane…

i always figured the wing seats were the safest as it’s the most stable part of the plane during a flight. guess i should practice taking the back seats from now on…just have to bear with the turbulence.

Deathly Hallows end

finished the book while taking a crap at 1.20pm. i can imagine the sense of elation that J.K. Rowling must’ve felt and i think i share that bit of it at the end. the final closure breaths a sigh of relieve and i realize that it’s over. kudos to Rowling for a piece of literature well done.

omg spoilers

so it’s almost 7.00pm. i’m munching on some cold mango slices, an after dinner dessert. i fell asleep reading in the afternoon around 2.00pm and woke up like an hour ago. currently at page 234 the beginning of chapter 15.

thoughts. the progress is very slow. i mean the story. granted there’s been death left and right, but my anticipation of something big happening has not been met yet.

i admit it caught me by surprise that hedwig is dead. that lovable owl of Harry’s. i’m guessing Harry might just get a phoenix for a pet later on. so what has happened in the last 15 chapters? the strongest order member is down, the minister of magic is dead, Ron seems to be pretty good at magic now and Harry broke up with Ginny. what has not yet happened? Nevile has not been mentioned, Harry has not made use of his firebolt, what happened to Dobby the house elf?

by now, the book has more or less confirmed Dumbledore is gone and Snape is a bad guy. oh, and that theory about R.A.B. being Sirius’s brother? it’s true.

right then, shall i get back to it?
